HBG Column Installation Kit 17040
Includes brackets and hardware for columns ordered with non-Tuscan cap and base. Also used for larger diameter columns to add additional tie-downs.
Note: Bottom hardware is included with no-taper square and tapered round columns if ordering Tuscan cap and base. Otherwise order this hardware with your columns.

Pictured is the current 17040 set. HBG made a running change in 2024 to an this version.
If ordering hardware for PermaCast Craftsman column or the Square Beveled Cap and Base then use this or specify NEW 17040 hardware.
Note: the 17040 kit is being updated to allow it to be used on all non-ornamental PermaCast/PermaLite caps and bases including the Bevel caps/bases.
This kit is not rated for wind "uplift". See the Perma-Loc if you need a rated installation hardware.
HBG does not recommend brackets at the top of the column as this can cause a column to crack as the structure moves. The weight of the roof keeps the top of the column in place.
