What You Need to Know
• Height listed is the column shaft height.
• Cap and base slides over shaft. The shaft rests on the floor. When installing a column, ensure concentric loading of column. 100% of bottom must contact substrate and 75% of top must contact soffit.
• Permacast columns used exterior should not use dark colors unless using head reflective paint.
• For transportation purposes, small sections of split columns are left partially intact.
• 1/4 cut columns are available per quotation.
• Pre-drill columns prior to installing screws.
• Automotive body filler works great for minor repairs.
• When attaching hand rails and brackets, holes must be pre-drilled.
• Use a screw with a wide thread pattern, i.e. deck screw, concrete screw or hollow wall anchor.
