Made from solid unfinished kiln-dried softwood.

Finishing Notes: Rail must be finished painted before installation. Remember to finish the ends of the rail before installing to your newel, column or wall.  The rail must be finished under the balusters to prevent rotting.  A primer/sealer coat is not a finished coat.
